Salt Lake City Fastkart
named Best Karting Center by 2005 Red Bull Driver Search!
FastKart Indoor
Speedway located in Salt Lake City, UT has been selected for the
Best Karting Center Award in the Open Qualifying phase of the
2005 Red Bull Driver Search. FastKart was one of 60 karting
centers across the United States to host the Program during the
month of April. While all participating centers displayed great
commitment and enthusiasm, FastKart is being rewarded for their
outstanding contribution. The center displayed superiority in
the promotion of the Red Bull Driver Search, a s
well as precision in the coordination and execution of the
event, attracting over 100 racers to compete at their facility.
The Red Bull Driver Search utilizes indoor and outdoor karting
locations across the country to host Open Qualifying in an
effort to expand the search to drivers of all levels. Open
Qualifying affords teenagers an opportunity to qualify for the
Program in a convenient manner and without the need for
expensive funding.
To honor FastKart Indoor Speedway, the Red Bull Driver Search is
awarding the track with a unique trophy—a mounted wing from the
2005 Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car—that will be held by the
track for one year. For his dedication, the owner Joe Miller was
invited to attend the United States Grand Prix in Indianapolis
last month, as a guest of the Red Bull Driver Search.
Now in its fourth year, the Red Bull Driver Search aims to
discover and support talented young racing drivers. The
long-term goal is to have a steady group of three to six
American drivers racing on the Red Bull Junior Team in Europe,
groomed to break into Formula 1 and compete for the World
Championship.
